DEWA made a humble beginning in 1965, with an academy for the hearing impaired in Karachi.

Due to our sincere and untiring endeavors, has formed into a Junior and Degree College, getting affiliations from the SSC, HSSC and University of Karachi in 1999.

DEWA is a trailblazer in awarding Bachelor’s Degree (XIII and XIV) for the Conference Disabled in Karachi beginning around 2001 and from 2013 in Islamabad Grounds. A Bachelor of Arts Degree is granted in the event affiliated to the Karachi University.

DEWA Institute in Islamabad was set up in 2013 and has become the first Institute in the Federal Capital Islamabad to award a Degree in Inclusive Education.
